ACSC Club Nights

General Information

About Club Nights

The Albany Creek Swim Club (ACSC) conducts Club Nights for its members on Wednesday evenings throughout the swimming season (generally October to March inclusive, Term 4 and Term 1 of the school calendar), weekly in term 4 and fortnightly in term 1.

Club Night starts at 6:15pm sharp so please arrive by 6:00pm. We hope to be completed by around 7:30pm.

The purpose of Club Nights is to introduce the swimmer to the first step to competitive swimming, while also building club spirit and enjoying the relaxed social aspect with family and friends, Swimmers race against their own personal best times (PB’s) alongside other swimmers of similar times.  Age or gender is of no relevance in this level of competition.

The focus is on practicing the skills learnt in training and improving speed in a swimmers own time. It also serves to educate swimmers and parents of swimming rules and protocols.

If you are new to the Club or participating in a “come and try” night and cannot nominate online, please arrive at the pool at 6PM on Wednesday night or email clubnights.acsc@gmail.com

If you choose not to register as a financial member after your second “come and try night” you will no longer be able to participate.

Parent Volunteers

To ensure our club nights run smoothly all parents are required to assist in duties including timekeeping, marshalling and other duties when required. A volunteer roster will be available through the Swim Club Connect App.

Supervision

The Club does not accept responsibility for the supervision of children attending Club Nights. An adult must accompany the children for the full duration of the night to ensure they remain safe and demonstrate acceptable behaviour at all times.
